20th Reunion..... it just can't be!

We attended my 2oth high school reunion in August. It was really surprisingly pleasant. We met and ate Friday night, rode a last minute float in a parade Sat. morning, and met for picnic in a camp ground on Sat. afternoon. I loved seeing the people I did. It was nice to chat and get to know people. I found it amusing that it was fun and easy to tell my 6th grade crush that I had had the big bad crush on him back then. We got to see our band teacher too. He was the kind of teacher you see in the movies, having life's lessons discussions with us in junior high band, putting up with us being complete dingbats for a few years, really doing fun things with us in high school and marching band later. Here are a few pictures for posterity. This is Clara and I on the field where I used to run track and practice marching band moves and watch football games.

Grace is pictured here standing under the windows from my first grade classroom and above them are the windows from a room I was in for 6th grade (where I had the terrible crush!)

Here we are on the steps to my junior high. I think I am glad I am done with that phase of life...
A family picture on bouncy play ground thing that I remember riding in about 1st grade. Do you think I could have pictured this scene? Shocking! I just can't believe it! I feel very blessed with my life.
Grace and Emma trying out my favorite play ground activity. This monkey bar "thingy" kept me busy for maybe a year or two. I would line up and try to get around it every recess in 1st grade.
My house from about 4th grade through college! I thought it was about twice this size.

We owe the Griffins BIG time! Thanks so much to them for putting us up for the night and ESPECIALLY for babysitting my three bundles of energy Friday night so I could go to my class reunion. Oh, and the fashion advice was greatly appreciated too! We loved seeing you guys. Such a wonderful, fun, cute family! (Clara was testing out being in the Griffin family here).

I think I remember those circle hanging things too. I also remember the log cabins that kids used to go to the bathroom in- gross I know. I always hoped to fall off the hug tractor tires and brake my arm.
